Holistic education
To live up to this vision, we take a holistic approach to education and offer degree programmes that give our students, alongside their specific subject competences, a social, historical and cultural awareness to accompany them on their future paths. Besides the courses in their chosen discipline, all students must also take courses in other core HSG disciplines and in subjects such as history, philosophy, business ethics, psychology, and sociology. Embedding specialist knowledge into a broader context enables our students to expand their perspectives and develop critical thinking and the ability to deal with complexity, as well as with cultural, social and ecological challenges.
Assume responsibility
It is a concern of ours that our students should become aware of their role and learn to assume sustainable responsibility for society. Becoming a member of one of HSG’s various student initiatives is one good way to achieve this.
